Nothing changes, I asked a boy once what 5 +1 = his answer was 51 and no way could I get him to understand it was 6.
I gave up in the end. Such is education these days. Sad is it not?

In today’s environment, it would not surprise me for this
    to happen.

    Wouldn’t they owe her $20,002,000?

The story was getting really good till the principal offered to pay the teacher off with $2,000.00 + $2,000.00 and the principal claiming the teacher would receive $4,000.00. The teacher came back at the principal with an excellent answer: “If 2 + 2 = 22, then $2,000.00 + $2,000.00 = $22,000.00. The teacher left them standing there with their teeth in their mouth due to the fact she was indeed playing by their rules and therefore they owed her $22,000.00 Case Closed, next docket please. And quite honestly and sadly, this is what’s happening in our public schools of which I have no time for.

I think the teacher should have used their logic closer – $2,000 + $2,000 = $20,002,000 and make some real money!
