Maybe the heater wasn’t working & he didn’t want the windshield to frost up.

The guy was blue and his hair was frozen sticking straight up! He had a hard time talking he was so cold! (:))

I had an instructor do that once, when I asked him why he drove with top down in -20 degrees he said you can’t own a convertible and drive with the top up!
