High school in the 50s was a time for us to learn how to get along with the opposite sex. Personally, I was a shy boy, afraid I might offend the girls. I didn’t have the money to keep up with fashions and always felt that I didn’t fit in. Listening to these teens brings back the memories of not knowing quite how to treat a girl. Did they like the same things I liked, out on a date, was it okay to kiss? One thing that was universal among us was that we all loved to dance and we had the best music for slow and fast dancing. For me, life was a psychological struggle as I actually knew nothing of the world and what made it turn.
