I saw trains traveling in the movie “Doctor Zhivago” and they plowed through the snow in Russia. I often wonder why the trains on our East Coast close when they should be able to plow through.

    Nice work, Guys/Gals!

Paula, the railroad “Right-of-Way” extends to 25 feet or more beyond the track centerline. Cars, people, animals
or structures inside these limits during snow removal operations are at a distinct disadvantage – just as they would
be on an airport runway. Just ask for Guardian Angels for them and enjoy the snow (show)!

Very beautiful to watch but what about the safety of cars, people, animals or structures such as houses in the path of ALL of that displaced snow?

Amazing how fast the trains were plowing through the snow while staying on track! Never rode a train before but those are some powerful trains with strong motors.

Wow! This is amazing! Trains intrigue me, and it seems to be very safe travelling by train. 🙂 The trains we have seen here are powerful!

WOW!! Never ever thought about this before…I wonder who invented their snow blades/plow! Thank goodness they ‘don’t have to see to stay on the tracks!’ You can hear the whistle of the train – but ot see it! What a wonder!

Awesome! Although I feel sorry for the drivers having to cross the tracks after the snow is dumped onto roads 🙂
