She is learning how to lie at such an early age. If she is fibbing / lying at the age of 16, then it will be the parents fault for lack of discipline.

The parents should have stopped after the first denial and just dropped it. They are teaching her to be a naughty obstinate little girl.

That was one of the cruelest episodes I’ve ever watched ! All children will deny/lie when challenged at that age. Parents should not have left the dog’s food in such an accessible place if they didn’t want her to touch it.
Shameful episode to subject a child so young to this interrogation.
How authoritarian can one get ? If this was done only to produce and film this confrontation it is doubly shameful. Poor kid.

I’m wth you on this one. I agree that they should be ashamed of themselves and learn some parenting skills. She’s lying because she thinks she will get in trouble! She should not be afraid to get in trouble at this young age or at any age. These are supposed to be the people who love her no matter what and guide her through discussion and modelling of how to behave.

This is the first time I can remember me wanting to listen to someone say (almost) the same thing over and over and not get enough of it!! Yes, I agree, she is on a law degree path! She is a determined little girl, and is a winner of hearts!!
