What a brilliant idea from this second grade teacher! Having her students meet shelter animals, then draw their picture and write a persuasive letter to request people in a forever home to come and adopt the animal. Resulted in many new adoptions in the community. Informed the students about animal shelters and the need for good homes for the animals. Raised awareness in the community. Brilliant!!
