The Wooden Table
This is the second time we’ve featured woodworking videos from Chris. The first one (The Rocking Chair) was wildly popular on our site. In this video, he makes a wooden dinning table out of reclaimed and rough sawn lumber. As usual, he does it all using only hand tools. It’s a surprise gift for his wife and it’s magnificent!
What do you think of Chris and his use of only hand tools to create such beautiful works? Please share your message for Chris in the comment section below.

That was just wonderful to watch, Awesome. Reminds me of my mothers dining room table and chairs. It belonged to her Mum and Dad but when she got it was in bits and pieces. My brother-in-law restored it and it was just magnificent. Thank you for bringing back beautiful memories of Mum’s table and chairs and showing us this wonderful man’s talents.

Beautiful finished product , skillfully made . The speed of the video doesn’t do justice to the time and skill that it took to make this table . I wonder how long it took from start to finish ? It looks like Chris was paying close attention when he was taught geometry .

Wow, this is amazing how he made the table. A nice table and it is great that his wife like it. He is a true craftsman with all the right tools to make nice furniture. Looks like fun and I’m sure he enjoyed the process of making the table. A great and inspirational video!

That is simply amazing! I have built two small end tables from cedar that turned out pretty good that I was proud of but nothing like this. I will have to try a smaller scale project using your technique.
Thanks for sharing this with everyone.

I am most impressed with your technique of making furniture. The finished product was absolutely gorgeous.
I have visited the Amish community in Tenn. and watched them do the work they do without electricity. It is most impressive.
I think the old fashioned way of doing things has much going for it.
Great job!
