Crowded cities often result in the lack of open, natural spaces. These practical rooftop ‘park’s offer city dwellers some reprieve from this by utilising a redundant space to create quiet, beautiful settings that house swimming pools, theatres and comfortable sitting areas.

I wouldn’t enjoy the one’s with just grass. The sitting areas are nice because in big citys you have no yards to plant. It’d be a little piece of beauty to be outside. I’d want higher railings around though and most had none at all. I’d be hoping for a bathroom though so I wouldn’t have to go down several floors for that.

I had the same thoughts as Jean H. I have a fear of heights, too. So I don’t know if I would be able to enjoy some of these. If they are not too high and have railling around the edge I could handle it.

Not all of them are owned by millionaires, Lola. I reconized 2 from my home town of Chicago and one is on top of City Hall.

I find these gardens totally amazing and absolutely beautiful but I had rather keep my feet on the earth. I guess because I don’t like heights. LOL

OMG!!! These are so beautiful. If I lived in an apartment building, I would want something like this. Everybody in the building would most likely commit to keeping up the grounds to be able to enjoy it.
The one picture looked like a restaurant with all the tables. You could go out to dinner and not even leave the building (LOL).

Although as beautiful as the pictures were, I don’t have the time nor energy to take care of the garden/yard work that I have outdoors on land. I mean reality check, to take all the time and energy to do this up on roof tops, and then taking care of the inside of the house as well as the outside yard work on land, and then yard work on the roofs. These are for millionaires that can afford to hire people to do all that needs to be done, inside, outside, and upside in this case. Lucky people,beautiful pictures, I would love to be able to own something like this but some of us just don’t have the money especially in this economy.
