Prisoners in Finland Live in Open Prisons
Many inmates in Finland live in “open prisons,” where they are allowed to own a vehicle, leave for work or school, and host overnight guests. Now, the country is funding educational programs where prisoners learn technology skills like artificial intelligence. What did you think? I have so many questions after watching this video of the prisons in Finland. The man who murdered I wonder how the family and friends of the person he murdered feel about what all this man has been given ? Especially after he took away the life and person they loved and cared about. Do they have a death row ? What happens to the child molesters and murderers ? Do all prisoners have this education and training available to them ? I think it’s a very good idea to educate these people so they can contribute to society once they get out. Obviously their system is working because they have significantly less people in prison and fewer repeat offenders. I found it a very good thought provoking video.
