Saw the pics on the news of the final moments of Kanut.
It looked like he was having a stroke and finally fell into the water in his enclosure. It was later reported he had a problem with his brain.
How sad. He was a sweet polar bear.
such a precious life …loving, trusting… a twist of fate can change the road of any or many things for good or for bad in life, even with the guidance of well meaning people it still can’t be the manipulated…..
This was Kanut….he died just days ago on March 19th at the age of 4. He drowned in his habitat. No animals should be forced to live in Zoo’s to entertain us..no matter how cute they are. If they must be kept in captivity it should be in a habitat suited to them with the interference of humans and especially not on display.
