Plane Flies Through Tunnels for First Time Ever
Dario Costa became the first person to fly a plane through a tunnel, taking off in one tunnel and flying his race airplane into and out of the second at 250kph to set several world records and enter aviation history. Dario is an experienced professional race pilot and whilst he had been dreaming of attempting this for years, he knew it would be a complicated challenge. What did you think? As long as challenges for the human experience exist, the will be people who will dream, risk and try to surmount such daring and dangerous challenges.

I’M 83 and a little foggy memory but I served my tour of duty in Germany I was told the first jets me262 were built in tunnels in the mountains and flown out of them. They made to late in the war1944 to have any effect. also, some of the caverns were used to build and launch V2 rockets hench flying through tunnels seems to be a sport

They stopped traffic and inconvenienced people for a stupid stunt like this?

That was very good but what would have been better is if the pilot started at an altitude of 1,000 feet and descended and entered the tunnel, rather than coming out of one tunnel and entering another one maintaining a straight and level flight.
