It looks like a baby ‘great-horned owl’. They can do a great deal of damage with their huge talons, which lock in place (a ‘death-grip’), when they grab something or someone. You have to pry each one of those talons out of whatever they latch on to, either to attack, kill, or move their prey. Their beaks can & do shred flesh to eat. The dog in the video, at times, looked uneasy as those talons & beak neared it’s eyes. I know that I wouldn’t want or trust it that up-close and personal to my face and eyes. It’s true that some can be trained to perform in shows, but greats are considered extremely aggressive & dangerous, as they fear no one. They’ve been known to attack humans without provocation. Smaller owls are much friendlier and far less dangerous.

With all these pictures of different animals getting along, I’m thinking it may be the last days and fulfiling Biblical prophecy:”…and the lion shall lay down with the lamb…”

Precious video. Looks like both animals are getting up in years. Guess, they just need a little companionship. This is truly priceless.

What a patient and trusting dog!! Those beaks and talons can be deadly. Did the voice on the tape say it is a baby owl? Feathers look a little downy.
