First of all if I were that girl there is no way I would have walked out on the runway without practicing walking in those ridiculous shoes. It wasn’t her decision to wear the shoes, it was to add something to the outfit as a model. And, if she in advance knew she had weak ankles, she had no business wearing those shoes. If she had gotten hurt…’LAW SUIT’ IN PROGRESS. She must have been so embarrased about all of this, but she shouldn’t have been, it was her job and it made her boss look stupid not her.
I tried wearing 4″ heels & barely could walk. I sent them back to the store & got credit. I only go to flat heels, or at the most 2″. I really felt embarrassed for the girl!
I would never wear something or do something that could endanger my life just to please a man. If he can’t take me with my faults he doesn’t deserve me.
Now TC, I find it hard to believe that you never dress to please a man. Having a man accept your faults has nothing to do with how you dress. Most women do dress to present themselves in the most flattering manner. I do agree that any shoe tall enough to fall off of is pushing the limit. However, one can twist an ankle in flats or barefoot. I was recently crossing a street in athletic shoes when I encountered a slight rise in the pavement that threw me off stride and almost caused me to fall down.
Ruby- I didn’t say I wouldn’t dress up to please a man. I said I wouldn’t dress DANGEROUSLY or do anything too extreme outside of the common sense to please a man. There is no point in putting your life or limbs at risk just to get a man’s attention. I can rock 3-4″ heels but I won’t be trying to walk in 5″+ to snag attention. If the next chick want to out dress me: then sure by all means go for it- I would gladly give her the opportunity to get the attention she craves
and yes I know you can twist, sprain, or break your ankle doing everyday things- but adding a factor that doesn’t have to be there is what I’m talking about (i.e – ridiculously tall heels.)
LOL! Good question. I’ve often wondered what that saying means. It is something I’ve heard men say when describing a woaman with long legs.

that’s ridiculous that they would make her wear ill-fitted shoes. or maybe she needs to learn to walk in high heels.. either way I felt bad for her…those shoes did look uncomfortable

I think those smaller heels are bout as bad, they don’t make a heel to really support a gal. Wonder who ever thought them up in first place?

Now Randy, are you saying you don’t like a woman who looks like her legs go forever which is what the high heels are supposed to do?
Randy G
