The hand was in dire need of a manicure …..

The barn owl reminded me of Molly. I followed her online last spring from the time she nested and lay (or is it laid) eggs through to the time the newbies left the roost. It was fascinating!!

I had a brother that loved birds of all kinds. He brought home a great-horned owl that we named Cleo. You would call his name & he would fly & light on your arm. He disappeared one time because of the fireworks. Then one time he brought home a burrowing owl. He was scared of our white German Shepherd at first & would click his beak. Then later, he befriended the dog & rode atop his back. So cute. I love owls! You can tell when a baby owl hoots in the woods; they go “Hoo!” So funny!

Owls are one of God’s masterpieces. I love watching them. Their eyes seem to be able to look right through you. Don’t know what language was being used but the owls seemed to know it. Precious.
