One can correlate every scene in that clip to its current counterpart. For better or worse, we are the authors of today.

Many of the players, then, still effect the outcomes of today. It’s funny. No matter how much we tried to effect change back then; the more things stayed the same.

Like Dragnet, the scenes we saw were real. The names didn’t need changing; because there were no innocents. We thought we knew it all. It turns out we all were; and still are, it seems, as dumb as a box of rocks.

The 60s started with the election of John F. Kennedy and ended with Tiny Tim getting married on tv. So sad how the decade went downhill.

Oh God! Just loved the music of the 60’s and graduated from high school in 1965. Very memorable times and wish we could go back and live them again. Life was simple and we had great times which we will NEVER see again, but only be a memory. I will be 73 in a few days and my 55th class reunion is this summer and looking forward to seeing some of the survived class mates. We lost a lot of classmates that were drafted right after graduation in the Viet Nam War. The music of the 60’s brings back some memorable times we experienced when we were young. The Beach Boys were one of my favorites.

What a great time to have lived through. Such great memories and music that will never get old. Today’s young people have no idea of what they have missed.

Fantastic times, best music, great drugs, could have gone without the free trip to Southeast Asia. It was one hell of a learning experience, that I revisit every night.

I was a teenager in the mid sixties and recall all of those happenings as if they occurred yesterday. What a memorable time in our nation’s history. The music was the absolute BEST.
