Finding the Lost Calf
First thing this morning we went up to check on the newborn calf. Mama was waiting by the fence for us and she immediately walked off mooing. Normally that would make the calf stick his head up from the hiding place she’d left him in but no head appeared. So Joseph, our friend Rick and I all started walking the grid. The guys did inside the fence, I went outside into the hay field. A calf lies flat to the ground and you could be six feet away and easily miss seeing him nestled behind some tufts of grass. Really. Yes, we did find him and reunited mama and baby boy. Listen to the incredibly grateful thank-you moo she gives us once they’re back together.
What did you think of this little calf and mommy cow’s reactions? Please tell us in the comment section below and remember to share the video.

What a wonderful job they did reuniting that calf with its mother and I’m glad she didn’t give the men any trouble over it.

Amazing story and glad mama did not attack them for touching her baby.

I wondered if it was not feeling well, or just plain sleepy.
