    i was born in 48 and lived in redondo beach then all over the south bay miss it the way it was back then. i suppose they are right you cant go back home now

      I lived in Manhattan Beach and like you, all over the South Bay. Great time and place to grow up and nope, can’t go back. I tried.

    When you get to my age, nostalgia always trumps contemporary. I moved to LA in 1958. Left (for good) in 1978. What made LA great for a young man is gone – forever. LA will never be what it was. The younger generations only know what it is today. They have nothing to compare it with.
