To Ruby and Bev: Thanks for your concern and support. I got a new mattress last year, a whole new bedroom set. I have a hydrollater which is four clay packs in 162 degree water. You need to put at least four beach towels and anything else around the packs so you don’t burn yourself. That eases the pain until the packs start getting warm, then back to the hydrollater. I also have epidorals, don’t know how many times over the years. Then I was ordered a “tens unit” which is helpful during the day, but can’t wear it to bed at night. My boyfriend found on line that I can get a tens unit to wear for my back and knees at the same time…we’re looking into that, it appears that only costs $199.00, the original tens unit cost $1,000.00, but no matter you need a prescription to get these.

That covers that area. Now, yes in answer to your question Bev, I have been to chiropractors, acupuncturists, massage physical therapists, aquatic therapy, and the hospital umpteen times. Chiropractors don’t help, acupuncture has and so has massage physical therapy, but right now, I’ve had to stop both because I have to pay out of pocket (insurance won’t cover either.) And since I’ve had so much work that needed done inside and outside the house I have to wait and save up the money to go back to the acupuncturist and massage physical therapist. Thank God, I have a scholarship for the YMCA until October whereas I can go on a daily basis 24-7. But with the contractors being here, and my boyfriend wasn’t sure what I wanted or needed done, he would drive me to the YMCA and stay with the contractors, but it appeared they had over 100 questions to be answered by me. So my boyfriend suggested that I go in the evening, by that time, the pain is so bad, I can barely walk.

I didn’t mean to write an epistle here, just wanted to let you know that I appreciate your input (and please keep it coming if you think of anything else.) The contractors are over with, but my boyfriend and I have to unpack all the boxes they put the stuff in (we have no idea where anything is.) He’s a tremendous help to me, and says my health comes first, but, before I have knee replacement or any type of surgery, we have to get this stuff in order. It’s frustrating both of us, but, he is so worried about me, and will do everything and anything he can to help. God has put him in my path for a reason, I’m surprised that he’s sticking it out with me. He’s really a good man.

Okay, I’m closing out here now. Thank you both. Please keep those ideas and thoughts coming. Went to bed at 6:30 p.m. last night, he woke me for dinner, and brought it upstairs, I couldn’t walk downstairs, then I went to sleep until the dogs woke me at 7:00 a.m. I called my son and asked him to take the dogs out, still having trouble walking between my back and knees and legs in excruciating pain. Just keep me in your prayers.

Love you both for your thoughts and comments,
    Lola

I am not familiar with hydrollater. What I found on-line didn’t look like something for pain reduction. I searched the way you spelled it and what came up hydrolator or hydrocolater, perhaps not the same thing. Seems like you have touched on everything. My only other suggestion is to change your thought patterns. If you want to know what your life is about, look at what you are manifesting. Our homes are generally a reflection of what is going on internally. I think I recall that you are a counselor so I’m sure you are aware of the mind/body connection.

Ruby if I wasn’t in so much pain with my back, knees and legs, I would have been asleep at 3:40 a.m. Suffer with it daily, but the nights appear to be worse.

Bet that little kitty was sure surprised the first time that door swung open. And Lola, I think the cat may be intelligent yet seriously doubt that it has much intellect.

I have two domesticated cats. I have to say, this is one of the most intellectual cats I have ever seen. My cats wait for me to open the freezer and get the fish sticks…lol

My aunt has two siamese….one is kinda moody but the other is quite docile. About three years old and she’s still very playful. The other is old, so that’s partly why he’s so moody.
