I have loved all sorts of cats my whole life.
There is something wrong with her or possibly she has had some bad experiences ?

I would just “let her be”. – do her own thing and then try and coax her with affection and games and see if she would finally come to you.
Try ignoring her and see if there is any reaction.

She would not like our home – we adore our cats and they are “massaged” and dearly loved .

Poor little soul – she is “defensive” and has some problems. Possibly been badly treated and is expecting poor behaviour – so gets in first.

Try not to react and try to “ignore”
    her.
Don’t give her the satisfaction of “reacting”!!!

She may surprise you one day and “purr” with pleasure.

Our cats are in my will. It’s very important to make arrangements “just in case”!

    Good luck
    Kim

Did you get er as an adult cat? Maybe she was abused before.

Dear “Me”..Yes, I thought that too, especially because of her immediate reaction to children.

Cat scratches can and do cause infections. With that known, I would think that would be a good reason a shelter would not have her up for adoption. And no, she should not be de-clawed. Maybe the cat should go live with her “Granddad”, the only one she does not scratch, and the woman can go visit her there.

I agree. Stop stressing the poor cat out. If you know she doesn’t like anyone but her Grandad, that’s who she chooses to be with. Let her go so she can be happy.

This is one very lucky cat to have such a great home!! Maybe she needs a pet psychologist? 😉

Oh my Goodness. I have had so many cats over the years but have never come across one like this. At least Nanoos has one person whom she loves and he loves her back, so that is a plus. Thank you so much for sharing and God Bless.
