Sorry about that, O’Brien. I should’ve known better. I’m half Irish( on my mother’s side). Just going by the way they spelled it on this page.

WoW!!! This thing is huge! I would hate to be in its way! Look at the small machine next to it & if we stood next to the smaller machine, it would probably seem BIG to us!!!! I loved the info about it too.

@Adale O’brien: thank you for informing us it was built by Krupp. Do you know about the Krupp firm in WWII? I won’t insult your intelligence so for the rest of you FYI; the Krupp family were into making the German war machine. They had a special contract with the government-Hitler loved them. During the war, they employed slave labor. And now, look at what they do during the 21st century.

    PS:
look up “The GEM of Egypt.” it was used to strip mine a valley [of the same name] in ohio and also wrecked a good portion of KY, before it moved over to south eastern MT to rip up that beautiful place. it used to be the world’s biggest piece of earth destroying equipment. in order to move it ramps were built across highways so the thing could travel cross-country.

looks like germany strip mines, too………………

This is the largest earth mover in the world built by the German company, Krupp. The mover stands 311 feet tall and 705 feet long. It digs very, very, very big holes and/or moves incredible amounts of earth . . .
