I agree with Michelle. Only rode the train one time & went to the Jersey Shore. I was very young (around 4) and my mother decided to teach me to knit. OMG what an experience that was! It is SO true, people looked “put together”, not like they were going out to play; the employees wore uniforms; you conversed with people (no cell-phones). Would I like to relive those days??? Life was much simpler, people seemed happier AND the war was over. You decide.

What I liked about that era is that people wore uniforms so you could easily spot who worked there. Also how everyday people dressed. It all seemed like a better time. No one was fixated on their cell phone or computer so people talked to each other. I’ve been lucky enough to ride the train a few times but that was a long time ago. I would love to be able to take the train again but now it’s so expensive I may as well fly.

Interesting to go back to those glory days gone by. However, seems to be fixated on the AT & SF and B & O. Would have been nice to see the CB & Q, Milwakee Road, and others given at least limited exposure.
