‘Very distorted view”? This is the America I grew up in and I am sorry several of you didn’t. I couldn’t afford some of those cars shown as even then they were expensive – and I understand it did not depict the lives of many Americans during that time period – I guess it was put together by old, white Americans

This is not my website but the owner has the right to show what content they like. It would be cool to see more black americans, hispanics, latinos, native americans. especially black americans building the foundation of america. so much history

I’m very surprised that in the 50’s there were no black Americans, hispanics, native Americans in my country. Could you clarify when did we invaded the caucasian anglo America? Besides the point, I think these pictures do not fit the context of 1 FUNNY because is not funny, and I let you guess my ethnicity.

I was born in 1948, and this brought back great memories. A time when men were men and women were women; cars were CARS; education (life and academic) was education whether you needed it or not; and monkey bars and other exercise equipment were in playgrounds! Regardless of the “threat of the bomb,” air raid drills hiding under desks, and a swat on the butt when misbehaved in or out of school, I wish I could go back in time.
