Mary, I’m from Pennsylvania. I will call you later today, as, I’m not certain what city and state you are from and I don’t want to call you early with a possible time change. It’s 7:53 a.m. here in Pennsylvania….Aston, Pennsylvania…so if you see a call coming in from area code: (610) and Pennsylvania …that will be me.

I think its in the water…lol! Actually, all kidding aside, I don’t know whether I heard this or read this not too long ago, that our dietary intake here of late has a lot of ill health going around. Too many chemicals e.g. TYSON CHICKEN….THE MANUFACTURERS ARE LOADING THE CARCASSAS WITH BAD CHEMICALS THAT ARE MAKING PEOPLE ILL. BIG ARTICLE ON IT, BUT THEY DON’T WANT THE PUBLIC TOO KNOW…and since I can’t remember verbatim what was written, I do recollect writing in and telling TYSON THAT IF AND UNTIL A LAW IS PASSED REGARDING THIS, I’M NO LONGER PURCHASING ANY OF THEIR CHICKEN. IF THEY HAVE ENOUGH LETTERS TO THAT EFFECT THE LAW WILL HAVE TO DO SOMETHING ACCORDING TO THE ARTICLE.

    Lola

P.S. I have a “whopper headaches presently” so I’m making myself scarce for awhile. When you have your health my friends, you are the richest person in the world….only you don’t realize that until its too late.

Mary, I just turned 65 years old on December 10, 2012. My friends say I look as if I’m in my 50’s (social security carded me as they thought I was scamming them….lol!!! That is a true story), my friends say that I act as if I’m in my 40’s, and think as if I’m in my 30’s…Kudos to my wonderful friends for making me feel better in those compliments when I feel as if I’m in my elderly years…lol.

Mary, why in the name of God did your friend have to have three knee replacements on the same knee?? That is scary and excruciating pain. I wouldn’t want to go through another surgery as I just did, I don’t think I would live to talk about it. As it was others that had their knees replaced were in the hospital and out in two weeks, I was in for one month, and still even though getting along better, still don’t feel pain, but my knees feel “taunt”. Putting heat on them, then ice, alleviates that. My surgeon said it would take anywhere from six months to one year to feel the full results of the surgery. Well its six months now, and, finally I think finally I’m at the point of being off the cane (not certain as I’m taking baby steps), and being extremely careful. But I did a great deal of research before the surgery for the ‘RIGHT SURGEON’….SPOKE TO MY PRIMARY CARE DOCTOR…and changed doctors umpteen times before I went under the surgery. SO HAPPY THAT I DID, SORRY THAT YOU’RE FRIEND DIDN’T. Then of course its imperative to keep up with physical therapy…that goes for any surgery that requires physical therapy, my intention is to go back to the YMCA and do aquatic exercises starting next week. For me being a senior will only cost me $12.50 month being on a fixed income…tell your friend to ask their doctor if this would be to their advantage once the wounds heal. OMG I can’t imagine going through that pain not once but two more times.

Before any surgery I always check out my surgeons, if I don’t feel comfortable with them, I move onward. The one doctor that wanted to operate on me had/has a horrible personality…my primary said..”Why did you go to him for treatment?” I looked at my primary increduosly and said: “You sent me to him!!!!” I have no problem in speaking my mind, especially when it comes to my health and any needed surgery. Some people are intimidated by doctors etc., I ask many questions, and until I feel comfortable won’t go under the knife. POSTERS IF YOU NEED SURGERY OF ANY NATURE, ASK ALL THE QUESTIONS THAT YOU HAVE FEARS WITH. BE CERTAIN YOU ARE COMFORTABLE WITH YOUR SURGEON. AND, IF YOU NEED TO FIND ANOTHER SURGEON OR DOCTOR FOR ANY REASON JUST DO IT!! DON’T CONCERN YOURSELF ABOUT HURTING THEIR FEELINGS, THEY MAY BE GOOD DOCTORS, BUT MAYBE NOT FOR YOU.

Mary thank you for updating me about your eyes, and I certainly will keep you in my prayers that they get better for you. I appreciate you sharing your thoughts, experiences and so much more with me and others on here. I’m unfamiliar with facebook…I mean I lack the experience with it. Can’t even get into my own messages, so looking for someone on there is a real trip for me. Sorry.

Have a beautiful day. It’s 1:55 a.m. It appears that the pain in my body always seems to strike at this hour the worse and will keep me up until about 5:00 – 5:30 a.m., really takes its toll on me, as I’m shot for the entire day due to lack of sleep. Ugh

Mary, I feel for your friend. I’ve had chronic F. and fibro for 23 yrs. and seems to only worsen with time and old age doesn’t help it. I turned 67 in March. Seems I’m always the oldest in the group/ha. Just hate hearing people being sick. So many of the people I know have fibro, even the lady across the street. I hope you feel better soon.

Mary, I had two knee replacements on January 3rd, and still trying to recover from that…this is May going into June. Went from not being able to walk, to surgery replacing both knees, to a walker, to physical therapy, (in excruciating pain, more than the pain I had before the surgery), in hospital for one month, then nursing care and physical therapy at home 3x’s week, still pain, for two months, then physical therapy outside the home, whereas they picked me up and brought me home after 1 1/2 hrs of physical therapy. But they got me on a cane…now, trying to get off the cane and getting my feet back on the ground (pardon the pun). Just starting to get back into driving, but its as though I have to learn how to park all over again…haven’t driven since December, driving is fine, the parking is baaaaaaaaaaaaaaad!!!!!! But I rather have it that way instead of in reverse. I’m tired of being bed ridden and in isolation both at the hospital and at home, due to the fact that we had to worry about me getting infections.

I can do a little bit everyday, but no cooking as yet, no vacuuming, no heavy duty stuff. Today I wanted to start one room and clean up one room a day, but it is 1:30 p.m., and I’m just so tired and hurting so bad. For whatever reason I don’t know, but I managed with heat and ice and that alleviated the pain. I didn’t know that “GATORADE’ has a high salt intake, and so my legs, ankles, knees were swollen badly. I was living on that alone with watermelon. Well, back to drinking just water again. Sorry I didn’t mean to go on a tangent.

I really wanted to ask you about your eye problems. Nothing serious I hope. And insofar as your pc is concerned did you think to call the ‘GEEK SQUAD’, they can remotely fix your pc from wherever their location is. My pc was acting up, I couldn’t walk or anything to get a new one, called the ‘GEEK SQUAD’ TECHNICAL SUPPORT 1-800-433-5778, AND they worked on my pc without me sitting in front of it, from 8:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m.,non stop. They have helped me so much and I have a three year contract with them. I had so many virus’s, cookies, and much worse happen to it, and with me not being here at the time, the pc should have been working.

Anyway, have a beautiful day Mary…there are things I need to take care of.

lola, im so sorry about your health and hope you will soon be well..i don’t know how old you are, but my bff had to have 3 knee replacements on the same knee..the dr who did the 2nd surgery messed it up, so she had to have another dr to do the last surgery..she is doing well, but she will be 60 in September and she had a hard time also..my eye problems started about 10 yrs ago..i kept getting an infection called iritis..drops here and drops in both eyes.finally, I had to have cataracts taken off both eyes the first time they found them..then vision problems..blurred vision, sensitive to light, etc..so I found another eye dr who sent me to have laser on my eyes..finally got to where I can see with new glasses, but my vision will never be the same, cause I still have a gel that floats across both eyes..Iritis is when the fluid behind the iris leaks out..i didn’t mean to go on either..it seems this is the only way we can converse..im on facebook if you want to post to me..get well and we will post again..mary

No Mary it has nothing to do with you. People are busy, sick or not caught up with their other e-mails. I have over 316 e-mails waiting for my review…whew, a bit overwhelmed.

Anyway the video was as always precious. It brought much joy to my heart and a smile to my face. Have a great day Mary
