Joy, no I’m sorry I really don’t understand you. I’m sorry for your loss, I’m sorry for the pain that you are going through. (Ironically, I was hit by a truck in 2009 and am suffering pinched nerve in my sciatica and a torn ligament in the cartlidge of my left knee. So I can relate to your pain.) However, thinking that this blind man joke was innocent and funny still burns me up to your comments. Sorry my personal opinion still stands about the handicap people (such as us), the physically disabled and the blind. You presented yourself or your comments to me in an offensive manner. Hope you feel better soon. You might wish to try aquatic therapy at the YMCA, they offer scholarships to those that are unable to pay for medical expenses and get help at the YMCA.

Lola,I am one of the nicest person’s you could meet. I am a good friend & a loyal friend. I made light of it because I knew it was a prank, but if that really happened, I would be horrified. I would be sad & run over & exclaim, “Are you ok?” I would hope that never happened. I am not callous, or mean. I have a tender heart. As a matter of fact, I am handicapped & on disability. I was in a truck with my parents when we got run over by an 18-wheeler. They were killed & I spent 21 days in the hospital. Now both my knees have no cartilidge & its bone on bone. The new insurance I got won’t cover the surgery for total knee replsacement. So I’m in alot of pain. So I am not mean or callous. I was making light of it because I knew what was going to happen. I would hope to God it doesn’t happen for real. I hope you understand me now.

Joy, you are one unbelievable person, and I thank God in Heaven that I don’t personally know you. You appear to still think that this video was funny. IT ISN’T, AND WE DON’T KNOW WHAT PART OF THAT YOU DON’T UNDERSTAND! Guide dog or not, just a human being falling down an elevator shaft isn’t funny period! You are one cold callous person with a warped sense of humor. Take your warped sense of humor on people with medical problems, handicaps and the like and shove it where the sun doesn’t shine. I find your comments disgusting and disrespectful.

If this were to actually happen, this blind person would have another person with them or a dog guide for the blind to warn him or her.

I have to agree with all the comments, especially the one from Lola. Joy, you have very bad taste in humor, but everyone has their own opinion on different subjects. I said it before and I will say it again, this video is the most ignorant and disgusting thing I have ever saw! What would you think if you were to step on an elevator and went down the shaft? You could have been killed or hurt very badly, only then to probably sue the company! Maybe it wasn’t to insult blind folks, this could have happen to anyone. No matter what the video is showing, it was Not funny at all, but to each their own when it come’s to their opinion of humor. I just pray an accident like this never come’s your way because I do not think you will be laughing about it in the end!

I for one tend to disagree wholeheartedly with your comment Joy. I’m appalled that you think this was done all in fun. I’ve been around blind people, I know the challenges they endure. I don’t find this video funny at all. I find it down right insulting and disrespectful of all blind people, their family and friends. Apparently you have never experienced being with a blind person and what they endure. And for the record….what if a person isn’t blind? What if a person falls down an elevator shaft as this video showed? What if you fell down an elevator shaft, would you still find it funny? And anyone around that might witness a tragedy such as someone falling down an elevator shaft, may just may have a heart attack and die over it. Would you think that was funny as well? Just because it was a practical joke? I could say more, but I’m fuming now, so I’m signing off. Think things through Joy, before you make remarks such as you have.

Oh, come on! It was done all in fun, not to make fun of the blind person or have a heart attack. All in fun for a good laugh.
