Hold on, folks. As a long-retired jazz bass player (I’m 85 y/o), I do agree that he’s very good in that genre; he may well be just as good in others. But in NYC, there are many good jazz pianists who are competing for the small number of relatively well-paying jobs available, and they have to supplement their incomes by having day jobs. I bet his day job pays quite well. I paid for my education by playing jazz, so my day job was school, and my night job paid the bills. This particular musician knows how good he is, or he wouldn’t take the chance of doing what he’s doing. Hats off to him.

This cute man is an amazingly good pianist! Love how he was tapping his feet to the music, and the crowd was obviously delighted as they stood around listening. It would be so nice to hear him in a live concert!

Why not do it for a living? He’s fantastic! Some people play for fun, relief of stress, etc & prefer to keep it that way. Probably what he does. Being a pro can be stressfull

So talented. He could make a full-time living as a pianist.
