There are many high dollar collector cars, but how many can be called a true work of art? The 2-door 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air is one of the few, it is a rolling Mona Lisa. The worst car I ever had. Brakes were awful, 2 speed automatic transmission was was unresponsive and car with V 8 was under powered. Great looking junk on wheels.

I had a cheap 1957 four-door sedan which we took to Spain on a three-year tour to Spain in 57. We had so much engine (valve lifters) trouble that I Couldn’t wait to ditch it upon return to the US. It did make my tour miserable that
seeing the end of it was one of my better days.
