This is too true to be funny…
The next time you hear a politician use the word ‘billion’ in a casual manner, think about whether you want the ‘politicians’ spending YOUR tax money.
A billion is a difficult number to comprehend, but one advertising agency did a good job of putting that figure into some perspective in one of it’s releases.

A billion seconds ago it was 1959.

A billion minutes ago Jesus was alive.
C.
A billion hours ago our ancestors were living in the Stone Age.
D.
A billion days ago no-one walked on the earth on two feet.
E.
A billion dollars ago was only 8 hours and 20 minutes, at the rate our government is spending it.
While this thought is still fresh in our brain…
let’s take a look at New Orleans ….
It’s amazing what you can learn with some simple division.

is presently asking Congress for 250 BILLION DOLLARS to rebuild New Orleans .. Interesting number… what does it mean?

Well… if you are one of the 484,674 residents of New Orleans (every man, woman, and child) you each get $516,528.
B.
Or… if you have one of the 188,251 homes in New Orleans , your home gets $1,329,787.
C..
Or… if you are a family of four… your family gets $2,066,012.
Imagine, now $700 billion bailing out banks in theUS. That’s enough to fund complete medical care for every man, woman and child currently alive in the US for 11 years!!
50 billion to bail out the auto industry???

A lot of this is b*llshi* i’m reading. How can most of you blame people who have been in office only a 100 days or less for the way the economy is. BUSH was in office 8 years and created this mess but who’s blaming him? No one. So now the world critizes a guy who is at least trying to help. Some of you guys priorities are mixed up and you are stuck in the past. Get off from behind the BUSHES and give the guy a chance. If BUSH f**ked it up in 8 years, how can another man fix it in less than 6 months? P.S., Debbie did you do the same background check on G.W. Bush as you did on Obama, or are you just really stupid? I know plenty of illegals thats been here well over 5 years, and they also are enjoying the same benefits, but are you coming down on them and dragging their families into the politics?

I don’t use credit cards, I don’t have a job, not that I am not looking, but I can’t seem to get any kind of assistance from my state or federal government because I don’t have any illegetimate children or imigrants living with me. Would be nice if I could just get enough of my taxes back to pay my electric bill!!

Serves you all right. The average person is too busy watching FOX “News” and reality shows to realise that their children are growing up retarded in every way. We need to throw out all the congress, get HONEST PEOPLE IN THERE, ANY MAN ON THE STREET, CHOOSE A FEW AND THEY WOULD NOT GET THOSE FABULOUS SALARIES, TO TAKE US TO THE CLEANERS, AND THE MAN ON THE STREET, KNOWS HOW IT FEELS SO THERE WOULD NOT BE ANY PORK IN GOVERNMENT – LIKE THE SO CALLED ATV TRAIL IN THE STIMULUS PACKAGE,
TAKE NANCY PELOSI’S JET FROM HER. IF SHE WORKS IN WASHINGTON, WHY DO WE HAVE TO HAVE A SPECIAL PLANE FOR HER TO GO BACK TO CALIFORNIA. GIVE ME A BREAK. THESE PEOPLE ARE THE MOST SPENDTHRIFT PEOPLE, BUT THEN THEY DO NOT HAVE TO PAY IT BACK, ALSO CUT THOSE BIG FAT PENSIONS, THEY GET, AFTER THEY LEAVE WASHINGTON. WE HAVE TO WORK MANY YEARS TO GET EVEN A SMALL PENSION START CUTTING EXPENSES IN WASHINGTON, THEN SEE HOW MUCH WE SAVE. ALSO WHY IS OBAMA’S ILLEGAL AUNT, GIVEN A YEARS EXTENSION FOR HER BEING HERE ILLEGALLY – AND TO INSULT US SHE HAS BEEN LIVING OFF OF US GETTING EVERYTHING FREE AND WILL CONTINUE TO DO SO. HOW MANY OF US WOULD GET THE FREE HOUSING, MEDICAL, FOOD STAMPS ETC. THAT SHE ENJOYS AS AMERICANS – SHE WAS TO HAVE LEFT 5 YEARS AGO – CHARGE THE PRESIDENT WITH THE BIIL FOR THE 5 YEARS AND SHE SHOULD NOT REMAIN HERE, HOW MANY ILLEGALS ARE GIVEN THIS RIGHT. ‘HOW DID SHE QUALIFY FOR GOVERNMENT ASSISTANCE. THERE SHOULD BE AN INQUIRY INTO THIS, AND WHOEVER OKAYED IT SHOULD BE REALLY MADE TO PAY US BACK ALL THIS MONEY.
