A good point for most local News TV programs. When an arrest is made, the local news reporter has to stand in front of the police station – why? Someone was hurt in an auto accident – and the local news reporter has to stand in front of the hospital – why? A good rain storm or a flood and the reporter has to stand in the rain – Why?
But the worst is the local news weather person who has to read us the temperatures in various cities that I have already seen on his chart. I can read – why are they reading to me? Show the damn map, explain the winds, or rain, or snow, show the weather in every local city and then get
off the damn set and let’s have more news. Weather doesn’t need two section in a half hour news broadcast – I would rather see a movie review.

When I watched this, I didn’t realize that it occurred today and had figured it had happened way beforehand! I always figured that shots like this were done with the person inside in a studio with a camera outside shooting a background. Learn something every day. That said, while I understand his frustration with his situation, I do suspect that he’s very possibly going to get, at a minimum, a serious talking-to and perhaps even terminated for a very unprofessional performance. To paraphrase a very old saying “praise in public, complain in private.”

At 63* we’re freezing cold, Chicago would be having an Indian summer at such temperature.

Ryan Marshall is great. At first I was thinking “He’s going to lose his job !” But really he makes me want to watch him more. He’s sort of like a cranky old man who’s ticked off at the world. He did make some valid points. Why would he need to be outside to tell us what we already know. I’m just seeing him for the first time May 19, 2021. Is he still doing this job or has he gone on to a better/happier job ? Best Weather Man I’ve ever seen.
