It looks to be spray painted yellow. It obviously means something, but I can’t find any info about spray-painting deer ears for identification.

that tag is not numbered so it must be a insecticide to keep away flys tick fleas and other pest i buy them for my goats and work very well to keep them healthy! you can look them up @ heffers.com

tags are to count and keep up with transferred and sick/injured wildlife. Of course, the bell could be he misses Santa’s bells.

he must be someones pet his ear is tagged and must have been hand raised. he is a cutie tho. and he know where to go for the feast!
