It is hard to believe those ads were considered okay. I realize they didn’t know what we know today , like the dangers of smoking or giving sodas to babies, but even then serializing preteens, suggesting women wanted to be abused or using deceptive graphics of a salacious nature were too far and should have been stopped. Racial profiling, abuse and suggestive ads were in bad taste if not recognized by advertisers even then. The way we advertise today may be more subliminal than then but to thinking people it is still disgusting.

Sorry, I believe the ads of today are not near as “off limits” as in the 50s and 60s.
