Most of the time they learn real quick what that bottle is all about. We had a rescue Lab that had 14 pups. Needless to say the logistics at feeding time were a nightmare. There was one appropriately named runt that was constantly pushed away. We started bottle feeding her and it evolved to the point that she would not even attempt to get to ‘momma.’ She would just automatically sidestep the rush and run to us knowing her bottle was ready. After they were weaned, we would come in and set the feed pan down and still, she would dodge the others crushing in on the pan and head for us because she knew she was special and didn’t have to fight to eat.

So tiny, then so beautiful. I raised a kitten on the bottle too. As soon as I came outside with the bottle, he was already climbing my leg!
