The Rude Parrot
A young man named John received a parrot as a gift. The parrot had a bad attitude and an even worse vocabulary. Every word out of the bird’s mouth was rude, obnoxious and laced with profanity.
John tried and tried to change the bird’s attitude by consistently saying only polite words, playing soft music and anything else he could think of to “clean up” the bird’s vocabulary.
Finally, John was fed up and he yelled at the parrot. The parrot yelled back. John shook the parrot and the parrot got angrier and even ruder.
John, in desperation, threw up his hands, grabbed the bird and put him in the freezer. For a few minutes the parrot squawked and kicked and screamed. Then suddenly there was total quiet. Not a peep was heard for over a minute.
Fearing that he’d hurt the parrot, John quickly opened the door to the freezer. The parrot calmly stepped out onto John’s outstretched arms and said, “I believe I may have offended you with my rude language and actions. I’m sincerely remorseful for my inappropriate transgressions and I fully intend to do everything I can to correct my rude and unforgivable behavior.”
John was stunned at the change in the bird’s attitude. As he was about to ask the parrot what had made such a dramatic change in his behavior, the bird continued, “May I ask what the turkey did?”

Johnbull is so right in everything he said. God gives us each day a lesson in which we should learn and he gives us each a blessing each day and I for one is . . very gratful. . . . just like the bird. May God bless you all

The Parrot became sober after seeing the frozen and lifeless body of the turkey. It taught that, what happened to the turkey was as a result of an offence committed by the turkey.
In our daily lives, we sometime become sober when we see or hear about other people’s death or misfortunes. Such experiences are always best ways of waking us to realities of life.
We should also learn to be mindful of our utterances and learn to respect others, especially people we are meeting for the first time. You can never tell how such people can influence our lives.
There is a popular saying that experience is the best teacher. It can only apply to us if after the experience, we are lucky to be alive.
Never in the life of that Parrot will it be rude again to John haven had direct contact with the lifeless turkey right inside the freezer.

I think i now know the answer – it is because i just happened to read Irvana’s n Kittyluvr’s msgs, above. Everybody should quit calling names, cause God has made each one of us in HIS OWN IMAGE – In other words, we are critising GOD for having created us stupid and GOD is not stupid – some are quick at picking up things faster and some are slow – everything and everyone come in different shape and sizes – so i feel we should NEVER call anyobody names – hope you all will take it in a good spirit – bye – juliet
