The Deer Whisperer
While a family was unpacking the car from a canoe trip this fawn stumbled across their front yard and into Maya’s arms. The fawn had a good sense about Maya and followed her every step. They were inseparable from the moment they met. Maya knew it needed its mother, who the family believe was off eating and recuperating from the birthing, so she led it back to the woods until it finally hunkered down. They have not seen the fawn since. Update: The family saw two doe and two fawns in their neighbors yard a few days later and then again a fawn and doe in their backyard the next day so they are hopeful the fawn was found. Music: Yes I know – The Black Lillies

I may get some hate mail for this but, I have to agree with Bev. I don’t think it matters what kind of wild animal it is, its still the same. Feeding wild animals (while well meaning) is the worst thing people can do. The animals get to depend on humans and won’t forage for food, leading to starvation if the humans stop feeding them. Petting them can lead to the mother shunning them after detecting the smell of humans on them.

This was a precious little child with an Angel’s soul and touch and the little lost fawn felt and knew it. I feel her heart and soul is very special!!! Two young souls who connected so preciously. Hopefully, they will meet again and their hearts and souls will REMEMBER THE FIRST TIME AND CONNECT, AGAIN.
SUCH A PRECIOUS VIDEO. THANK YOU!!!!

What a great video, however, the baby deer was looking for food, and should have been turned over,to someone in authority, who could care for it, and may have died in the woods without nourishment!

I thought if the fawn had any human scent on them that the doe wouldn’t accept the fawn again. I was always taught to leave them alone as the doe will come looking for them but not to touch them. Maybe it’s just whitetail deer that are that way as I don’t know if this one was or not.
