The 1950s in Color – Life in America
Most of the people who appear in this video are long past. The young people, if still alive, are now very old – the children in their 70’s. What lives did they live? Were they happy? Were they successful? Did they achieve what they wanted out of life? I don’t know – but just watching these scenes from the past makes me contemplate my own life, and appreciate the time I have left. These are fun to see but some of them don’t quite fit the era, for example, the picture at 4:39 has a white ‘66 Rambler in so it is posted in the wrong decade.

I graduated high school in 1955. Cars snd clothes were like that. But they were great years. I do recall people
Building bomb shelters but not in the coal regions of Pennsylvania where I grew up.
