You can believe she gets told the difference each and every time and knows all about time outs/ The 3 yr old lets her know too when he’s had enough. It’s a learning curve as she was barely weaned when we were forced to bring her in because of the infection which shortened her lessons in socialization by her mother. It will just take time. She knows whose boss but loves to push the envelope at times, but no, she does not get away with much at all.

Charlie – You have my sympathies. This cat has taken over the power position in your home. As the pet “guru” would say, YOU need to be leader of the pack – not this four-legged tyrant. IF you think this behavior is cute, it WILL continue with a whole lot more bullying. A pet carrier would solve a lot of issues if you let this creature know who is in control in your home. Or – Turn her over on her back and hold her there when she misbehaves. She needs to submit to YOU. “Feed me first?” I don’t think so. This is a pet, not the alpha female in the house (or is she?). Take back some control -it’s YOUR home after all.

I really do not think I would want that translated to English. Might be something you don’t want to hear. I have one now that was supposed to have died from an infection when it was about 6 weeks. At 5 months she is on what would be a sugar high in a human child 1st thing in the A.M. As soon as you hit the kitchen she is there vocalizing to tell you how to prepare her breakfast, how slow you are, and what mistakes you are making preparing it. Also lets you know real quick ‘Feed me 1st and then you can have breakfast.’Be sure to wear pants as if you are too slow in her book, she will climb your leg to get to the counter to help.Gives our 3 yr old that just thought he was King of the realm fits. She will come from behind, jump and bulldog him like the best cowboy. Of course he is not enthused by this.

OOPS, don’t know where I’m supposed to click to vote on this. If I did, I would give it a 10.

Poor baby! Why can’t you leave it alone and just let it be a cat? It’s obviously not happy.

Yeah I think the maincoon does chat like this. My cats will “talk” to me. I did have some that would call mama to me, too. They do know how to get our attention.

No my cat does that when you rub his butt, if you take notice it don’t show his butt, only his face , but if you watch you can catch a glipse of somebody’s hand on the butt.

Isn’t this a maincoon type of cat? They “talk” like that, don’t they?

The cat appears to be in a deep basket or something and isn’t at all happy. I have one cat that yells at me when he wants something. He says Mama in no uncertain terms. It’s kind of spooky……
