Oh, Ann. You sound like a sweetheart! I will put you in my address book & start counting you as a good friend. I love penpals. When I make a friend, they are friends for life. I have a penpal in Singapore. We were 20 yrs old when I first contacted her & now we are both 55. We have never had the finances to meet. We first wrote letters to each other & now we email back & forth. Consider me your friend. I’m glad you are feeling some better. With all our prayers, God will take care of you.
I’m happy to inform everyone that unbeknown to a friend of mine, a bit of a distance from where I live, left a message on my answering machine. She didn’t know that I had been ill for seven months and bed-riddren, nor, did she know about this posting. In any case, she left a message (because my son had the radio on so loud, I didn’t hear her knock or ring the door bell), she told me that she left me a box of food outside my breakfast knook door as a surprise. She left, fruits, veggies, and other goodies. So you see dear friends, your prayers were answered and she is none the wiser for it. I truly believe that this was due to the many prayers that each of you sent to our Heavenly Father. Your care, support, prayers and kindness meant a great deal to me. I think I’m seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. God is good!
With all the prayers, support and comments from everyone, I can’t help but feel better soon. The headache from the concussion is almost gone, but I had to have 4 clay heat packs @ 162 degree temperature on my back today. Wrapped of course in extra long beach towels, terry cloth robe, and sheets, otherwise I would be burned pretty bad. Then ice packs from the freezer on my knees. That combined with the pain killers is easing some of the stress I’m feeling. 12:56 p.m. Monday (Labor Day) and still haven’t eaten. But fluids are filling me up which is a good thing. On the bright side I guess this is one way to loose some weight. Keep those positive, optimistic thoughts and prayers coming. Thank you Pinky for writing, it meant a lot as all did the other above posters. God is good and kind and everything right now is happening for a reason. Just wish He didn’t love me so much, as the saying goes: “God gives His cross to those that He loves the most.” Well, i’ve had several rough years. Lost two husbands one last year, the first of 23 yrs, and second only married for three years. Both ironically died on March 22nd at 11:00 a.m., two years apart. Haven’t gotten over the death of my second husband, our time was cut too short. That being said, I need to close. Don’t want to cry.
Prayers are coming from Cookeville TN. Last year I had a bout with MRSA. The doctor calls me his miracle but we also know that only God pulled me through. I get the feeling that you are going to feel better Ann. Drinking all the fluids will help but stay close to the bathroom.
If we humans were more like animals we would be better people. Animals are “in tune” with each other. I love the fact that your dog tried to get food to you. He’s a keeper for sure.
Good luck and God Bless.
To everyone, maybe I said this before, but I live in Aston, Pa. Too far for all you supporters out there. But it’s nice to know that I do have supporters long distance, that care and are praying for me. It truly means a lot. The headache from the concussion is easing up, the pain in the back and legs is still a bit much, and trouble walking. The dogs have helped me slowly get down the steps (two lab/chow/miniature collies from a shelter) 3 yrs old. What was really sweet, Dusty my one dog, was shoving his dish towards me as if he realizes that I can’t find anyone here to get me just a sandwich with my meds. Doing better today, taking the meds, drinking lots of water and gatorade and I don’t know what the other drink is, as I’m still somewhat woozie from the concussion, dizzy and shakey. But I’m okay. I’m a survivor, been through a lot over my lifetime, this is just another set back for a short time I hope. Just keep those prayers coming please. Many thanks again to all of you from me. Dear Joy: Thank you for your prayers and support. I wish I were in Kentucky, could sure use some of that good old Kentucky fried chicken right about now. The KFC’s here are yuck! Besides, I don’t have anyone to go and get me any anyway, so “yuck” or not, I would have been grateful for it. Have a beautiful day.
Good Morning Meza: In answer to your question. The answer is no unless I have a social worker which I don’t as I wasn’t admitted as a patient, but released because I couldn’t leave the animals alone. Not certain what I’m going to do yet, the headache is getting better from the concussion (guess the pain killers are finally kicking in). Anyway, just keep me in your prayers and thanks for writing.
Geeez… Ann wish i lived close to you i would come over in a shot!!!
know what its like to have no one to support you and pets in your hours of need… can the hospital or community arrange some kind of help surely the hospital has some kind of support system or know where it can contact someone for people in need … Take Care… Hope and Pray that you get the support you so need….
I love the photo. It shows all animals can get along.
Ann, I am stopping right now to pray for you. I prayed that God would send you a friend that can also bring you food. I pray you get to feeling better soon. May the Lord bless you & keep you in perfect peace. I wish I could come over to help. I live in western KY. We all love you, Ann & want you to feel better.
Lin and Jeanne. Thank you for your support and prayers. Had an ambulance last night that’s when they discovered I had a concussion. Unfortunately I don’t have family, but I have two dogs and two cats, took a cab home because of them, no one to care for them. They have given me great comfort. The hospital wanted to keep me, but, you’re right searching for new friends is my next step when I’m on my feet. 12:56 a.m. still no food, but filling up on water. Whew, I feel water logged. But maybe that will help with the concussion and other pain I’m feeling. Just keep me in your prayers. I’m a survivor of many things in my life. Don’t try to dwell on it. Just keep up with the support and prayers. Many thanks for your concern. I’ll be okay, don’t know quite when, but God sees and knows all.
