Mary I don’t know how I’m able to read your mail on here coming into my e-mail as a new comment. I’m very confused, but I did read that you contacted this site a second time, and whereas you said that the e-mail will not be published. And that you wanted me to go onto facebook and give the e-mail address.

Let me try this Mary…I contact my friends on facebook with their comments on facebook. I don’t go under the name “Lola”, I go under my regular name. I click into their comment section when they are addressing a certain article.

Let me try this Mary…on facebook, where it has in the area: “WHAT’S ON YOUR MIND” I will write a note on there that you should be able to pick up on. If not, I’ll take a leap and try to get my e-mail to you on another comment perhaps on here. Just if this works Mary, when you do write to me via e-mail, put in the subject line please that you are from here okay. Many thanks. I’m going into facebook now and putting something in there that is “what’s on my mind” and I do hope that you pick up on the message.

Mary, I don’t know. Let me ask around and see if I can find out how to do this. I do know that one lady on here months ago asked for my e-mail address and the e-mail addresses of others because we all wanted to be friends off-line here. Let me ask her, as, she managed to get the information on all of us and send all the e-mail addresses to us without putting it on here. I just hate high tech stuff. For now,let us keep in touch this way, I’ll try to get the information asap. Have a great night!

Mary Bare: Thank you for commenting on my post to Joyce. I wanted to extend my deepest sympathies at the loss of your beloved 14 year old doxy that you needed to have put down. I’m so sorry that you didn’t know that your dog had diabetes. My one dog (luckily we found out in the early stages through an annual exam) that he is diabetic. As he needs insulin 2x daily, and not just eating food in the a.m., and p.m., but like humans that have diabetes, needs a small snack in the afternoon.

I was in the hospital for two knee replacements, was in there for one month. I had a specialized pet sitter coming in to take care of my animals, and my home health care assistant, learned how to take care of my dogs. However, since I couldn’t walk, luckily this incident happened when I was home from the hospital. My dogs will be five years old in June, and, Rusty (the diabetic) was just taken outside fine, then when my care-giver brought him in, Rusty was going into convulsions. His sugar had dropped down to 45 whereas it should have read 500-1,000 levels. We didn’t know that at the time. He broke my desk, tore things up in the house in a panic, gasping for air in a panic, and bit me in a panic. I was hysterical, as my dogs are trained as service dogs to me, and would never bite or hurt me. I had to call 911 and they rushed over as I believed my dog was choking. He was rushed to a 24 hr. vet hospital, whereas they gave him insulin, and my home health provider had to feed him every four hours a little something…he stayed up all night with the dog.

I’m saying this to all pet owners…my dog was so young when diagnosed with diabetes. But please go for their annual check-ups, because there is nothing worse than seeing an animal in the panic and fear and tearing things up, breaking things that scared me to death. He had all his shots, and what happened from the time he went outside to the time he came in, we don’t know…as it was only five minutes.

Truly Mary Bare, I know that you love your animals, and I also know that when you have an animal for 14 years and loose them, you have lost a member of your family. All my animals live long, productive lives…as these two as mentioned are my service dogs, and I’ve trained them both verbally and in sign. My first dog went with me to work on the force ( I was a police officer) never sick a day in his nine years of life, went everywhere with me, and shocked to learn that he had kidney failure and only one week to live. My husband, son, and I stayed up day and night with him, never leaving him alone. We hand fed him, and he wasn’t suffering, he was in the hospital for a short time and my husband and I got permission from the vets to stay with him. We slept on the floor beside him, but we didn’t care, the vets wanted to put him down and I said no, he wasn’t suffering…if I saw that he even had a little bit of suffering then I would have had him put down…he died at home in our bedroom in his bed…we only left him for 15 minutes as my husband was selling his car and we had the title to transfer. A priest friend of mine told me that since we spent so much time with him, he was waiting for us to leave, so he could go peacefully which he did in his sleep. He knew he was loved, and I still miss him today.

Thank you for your input again Mary Bare. Have a beautiful holiday, one full of peace, love and joy.

lola, im so sorry about your dog, also..we had our first doxy for 14 yrs and he had congestive heart failure..our next 2 dogs were bassett hounds, both got hit by vehicles, but the second one , we had to have put down, cause we didn’t have the money to have him operated on I..im still reeling from that..then we acquired a dalmation..she got to where she could not control her bowels..she was about 17 yrs old..another put down. she was crippled from a car hitting her before we got her and she could not get around very well..then we got out last doxy..he was my baby..he slept with me and sat in my lap in the recliner..i was so lost w/o him.now, we have a chiuaiua or however it is spelled.she was a rescue dog..she will not take scooters place, but she fills the void..we have a few things in common//mary

Joyce, are you serious? Did you listen closely to the narration? Even the title to the video says: ‘SAD CAT DIARY’…weren’t you listening to the audio of what this video was saying? THIS WAS A DEFINITE SAD CAT STORY. NO IF’S, AND’S OR BUT’S. The author was sending a message about cruelty to animals. Didn’t you pick up on that? Apparently not…I would ask you to please listen to this audio again, close your eyes and listen to the audio, without looking at the cats as a distraction. Maybe then you will understand and realize the sadness of this story. Hilarious? I think not!

Hi, I think your site might be having browser compatibility issues.
When I look at your website in Firefox, it looks fine but
when opening in Internet Explorer, it has some overlapping.

I just wanted to give you a quick heads up! Other then that, wonderful blog!

When I originally commented I appear to have clicked
the -Notify me when new comments are added- checkbox and
now every time a comment is added I get four emails with the same comment.

Is there an easy method you can remove me from that service?

        Kudos!

Hmm it appears like your site ate my first comment (it was super long) so I guess I’ll just sum it up what I wrote and say, I’m thoroughly enjoying your blog.
I as well am an aspiring blog writer but I’m still new to everything.
Do you have any points for newbie blog writers? I’d certainly appreciate it.

This video caught me totally off guard. I wasn’t prepared to listen to what I heard, I thought it was going to be a funny video of a cat writing in the diary. This was so sad, because unfortunately this is so true. It broke my heart as I’m an animal lover, with two dogs and two cats. Thank God they have me in their life, if only I could take more animals on.

lola, when I first saw this, there was no sound on it and I guess I didn’t understand, but you can take it 2 ways..maybe they had been abused, but maybe it was the cats humor making fun of their owners, but it is still sad..i, too, have 8 cats and a dog..and the cat had a collar around his neck, I guess from licking a wound..but they were all beautiful, especially the cats with the flat faces..i just got a dog from the animal shelter.. we had to have our doxy put down.. he was 14 yrs old and had diabetes, which we didn’t know..i will always miss him mary
