I’ve been doing some checking on line. The book is out of print, but there are copies available. Warning though, it’s expensive! I may check it out from a library for now.

You most likely can get these books on amazon.com or ebay. Or just put the title in the search line. Hope you can get them & read again. That makes me curious now. I love to read, maybe I’ll order & send to my grandsons. WoW!! What we can learn on here!

Rebecca, looking at this old beat up book with water stains on the cover and a cracked outer seam, I am going to read it again. Maybe if I get grandchildren soon I will read it to them too. See, that’s why we like these majestic creatures for we have loved them since we were children.

Rick, one more note, I’m from Minnesota, so that’s probably another reason I felt so connected to the book.

It’s the same book! No way I could remember the author, but I just looked up the book and saw the old dust cover. It’s the same book. Ohhhhh, I’ll have to order it now! I’ve often thought about that book over the years. I’m so glad my mother instilled in me a love of books and reading.

Hello, Rebecca. The book I have was written by Emil E. Liers and Illustrated by Tony Palazzo. It was one of the three books I brought with me from England as a youth. Yours? Because if it is the same and it sounds like it is then it is a book a child can relish and never forget. Like you and I. Rick

I read “An Otter’s Story” so many times in grade school!! I bet if libraries still had those old library cards, you’d find my name on it more than anyone else’s! It was one of my favorites. Now I want to read it again. Another one along the same lines was “A Bear’s Story.” Oh, I loved those books so much!

The first book I ever read some 60 years ago was An Otter’s Story.
I still have this book and count it among my treasures.
