Relaxing Deer on the Side of the Road
In some parts of the world, deer are so accustomed to being with humans that they no longer see us as a threat. Watch this herd of deer relaxing on the side of the cool evening road in Nara Park, Japan while cars and buses drive by. You could even see people close up and personal with them. What did you think of the fearless deer? What would you do if you saw this in your neighborhood? Please share your opinions using the comment section below.

Seems like they have been squeezed out of their habitat. This is a pity that they have to live on the side of the road.

I love deer and cry everytime someone I know kills one. I’m from a family of hunters and have many friends who are hunters. Deer are normally very “jumpy” and can be deadly. One wrong sudden move and they could all stampede and everyone near would be in danger, especially the children. I would never let my child be near them and neither would I. We fed a deer and and petted it on the lakeside near our houseboat on a lake in Tennessee in the 1970’s and one day it almost trampled me because we were comfortable with it (we named it Bambi) and I made a sudden move toward it to pet it and it turned on me and he scared if off or I would probably be dead or maimed badly.
Could somesome have them sedated pulling some media “attention” getting “prank” aka hoax and putting people in danger? Sorry about the ” pre-summation” but I was an investigator for 25+ years and have seen many stupid people doing stupid crimes in my life. Hope I’m wrong but someone should check further into the situation!!
They are beautiful and probably feel “lost” out of their habitat and that’s very sad. I wish them the very best and hope they can get back home soon!!!

What a beautiful sight. God’s creation,being treated,with respect.I’m sure,they are fed,and taken care of.They look very healthy. If they were hungry,they wouldn’t,be lying around.Thank You for showing this…

Correct. They are mainly vegetarians but also eat seafood.

I love all animals. I think that they could be taught to go to the bathroom the same as any other animal.

Would you be willing to teach 100 to 200 deer how to go to the bathroom? That is expecting an awfully lot.

Teaching one deer at a time to go to the bathroom would probably work, and hopefully the other deers will learn from them. I hope these deers are trained or have some type of natural habitat to live in.

I won’t think it would be healthy with all that poop that must collect on the street. They lack something to eat. Too many deer in my estimation for the amount of traffic, etc. I had problems one winter with about 75-100 of our local deer and I couldn’t even get the dog to chase after them. They climbed the bales and torn about the hay and pooped in it so the livestock didn’t want to eat it either. Terrible waste. And spooky. They spook so unpredictably not sure about jumping thru your windows.

Cool. But who feeds them & cleans the poop? Looks unsanitary. Wonder why health dept. allies it. Beautiful animals but I think maybe they have created a monster.

I also have never seem nothing like this. The deers makes you want to sit down next to them and take a nap. God’s amazing creation.

You can go to Estes Park Co. to see this on a smaller scale. I thought it was Estes.
