How heartwarming! We have deer in our yard, but never get that close to them – entire families, so I can imagine how you felt – you are wonderful to encourage her to still be wild and free yet she still comes to you. Ours are not afraid even though the dogs in the neighborhood bark at them, they know they are safe from them inside fences. This was a beautiful story – thanks for sharing it.
