I NOTICED HIS DDS DIPLOMA, WHICH BORE HIS FULLNAME.
SUDDENLY, I REMEMBERED A TALL, HANDSOME, DARK-HAIRED BOY WITHTHE SAME NAME HAD BEEN IN MY HIGH SCHOOL CLASS SOME 40-ODD YEARS AGO.
COULD HE BE THE SAME GUY THAT I HAD A SECRET CRUSH ON, WAY BACK THEN??
UPON SEEING HIM, HOWEVER, I QUICKLY DISCARDED ANY SUCH THOUGHT.
THIS BALDING, GRAY-HAIRED MAN WITH THE DEEPLY LINED FACE WAS WAY TOO OLD TO HAVE BEEN MY CLASSMATE.
HMMM,…OR COULD HE???
AFTER HE EXAMINED MY TEETH, I ASKED HIM IF HE HAD ATTENDED CENTRAL HIGH SCHOOL.
“YES. YES, I DID. ” HE GLEAMED WITH PRIDE.
“WHEN DID YOU GRADUATE?” I ASKED.
HE ANSWERED, “IN 1957. WHY DO YOU ASK?”
“YOU WERE IN MY CLASS!” I EXCLAIMED.
HE LOOKED AT ME CLOSELY
THEN, THAT UGLY, OLD, WRINKLED SON-OF-A-BITCH ASKED,
“WHAT DID YOU TEACH?”

With all the pills and creams on the market today all us old fogies should look like goddess’ but alas one also needs a healthy bank account to afford all these miracle potions and what of the insides its not much good looking great on the outside if your insides are slowly rotting away from old age and the mind is in a perpetual fog of Dementia…………..
Maybe people can not accept you as you are but there is ‘the whole package’ not just the pleasant looking, good bits. Someone out there that just might be the best thing to ever happen to your life. Take off your blinkers the best things in life are natural and free 😀
