   I think that the mom sees this room so greatly in the negative because
   she is the one who will do all the work. If the teen had to clean it,
   I’m sure the teen would be whining: “But, Mom, that will take all day
   and I’ll miss the …..”.

   And so the world goes round. Mom was once that teenager.

    I THINK THIS SAYS IT ALL. TEENAGERS SEE THINGS VERY DIFFERENTLY THAN WHAT IS REALITY.
