I wonder who the woman & little dog are?! Is she the sculpter or the wife or someone just getting their picture taken by the sand castle?

Lola & Ruby, my dad was an artist & I have 2 brothers who are artists. One brother gives art lessons & he also does murals for people & even towns. I used to do paint by numbers. I’m like Lola, I can sing & I play the piano for my church. There are just different talents people can do. This is an awesome sand castle! Someone sure took some time to make this.

I know Ruby, I’m just a klutz. I would love to be artistic as many people are, but I don’t have it in me as hard as I try. People tell me I don’t give myself enough credit, as I do sing for weddings, funerals and lead people in song at Church. Also a soloist on stage. I write poetry and short stories and have had many articles published. But to me that really isn’t artistic, I would love to sprout my wings and show what I have in my mind but can’t put it on paper artistically, except for my writings. I’ll try to refrain from saying: “I can’t draw a straight line with a ruler.” But I really can’t! lol Have a nice day

I know exactly what you mean about drawing and sculpting, Lola. After making the exact same statement to a local artist whose work I greatly admire, I was informed that there are no straight lines in art. I rather doubt that you are a klutz. And you know there are all sorts of artistic styles so don’t sell short your particular flair. I would consider you artisically gifted with your voice. The only way I can carry a tune is in a bucket. It is a great day!!

Just don’t get why anyone would spend so much time on something that won’t be around for long. Nonetheless, it is impressive.

Lola, it is obvious that one of your favorite sayings is about drawing straight lines with rulers. Just so you know, artistic creation has nothing to do with such an activity.

Wow, I can’t draw a straight line with a ruler and look what someone did here. Awesome, I’m impressed and give it a ten!
