When I was in school many eons ago we had a demostration of liquid mercury. Question was asked: “Are all liquids wet?” The teacher put a pencil in the mercury and then we felt it after he took it out: it was dry. The same is being shown here: The sand goes into the water and its composition changes to clay; but upon raising it up into the air again, it returns to its original sand-like texture. I suppose the humor is to be found in this presentation.
