Did you notice that growing pile of porcupine doo-doo when the lions got too close? 😉
I think one of them did get stuck, but they seemed to understand this was not prey to be messed with.

I had always heard they could shoot their quills and was wondering why this one didn’t.

No they can’t. They only come out when they make contact with something or just simply fall out and are soon replaced by growth of a new one.

They were certainly curious but I could not tell if any of them actually got hit with the quills.
