Wow, Peter must have had some bad luck with the ladies to have such an opinion of them. Hope he meets a better breed of them soon and learn we are not all like that.
I saw this on tv today. That was crazy of the lady but what about the man who was videoing it? They both were crazy! It looks like that bear may have been there before. Maybe he/she is use to being shooed off from the place.
CRAZY LADY – and I only have 2 words for this ‘ANIMAL CONTROL’ this bear is NOT new to the area if she steps out and tells the bear NO… he knows that people are watching him. This is one BIG BLACK BEAR…and they don’t – I repeat – don’t like human contact – unless you are going to be their lunch for the winter 🙂
Yes, Lola…..stupid is an appropriate word, but for me, not for her. I probably would have tried to make friends with the bear and find it something (other than me) to eat.
Kitty Litter, There was a story and video a couple of months about a little old lady who lived out in the “boonies” who “made friends” with the wildlife that lived in the forest, surrounding her home. There were 4 or more of the bears that she was feeding. But there was one bear in the group that was an aggressive bully, especially to one young one, about 1+ yrs. old. The bothersome bear had been making her feel alarmed, and she was becoming fearful, but one evening the bully began attacking the cub and she went outside to try to scare it off. When no one could reach her the next day, the neighbors had called the ranger, and he arrived to find the “bothersome” bully bear eating her. It makes NO SENSE to befriend and/or feed wild predators, because they lose their fear of humans, and we become their dinner.
Typical tarjar of a battle axe! That woman is only doing what most women do to their unfortunate husbands. Bullying!Frankenstein would run screaming from her on a dark night.I hope the bear gets over the encounter soon.

I agree with Bev. It was obviously not a first time visit for the bear and Peter sounds like a bear.
