We were always outside riding bikes, roller skating, playing red light green light, baseball in the street. No watching tv during the day. We were healthy and fit.

Pretty cute– I could relate to many of the items in the video and very many more. As a baby boomer born in 1952, I had a pretty typical 1950’s young childhood, Christmas would bring me a “Tiny Tears” doll, and had me standing still with my arms raised as my older brother in his cowboy hat and chaps had his cap pistol pulled on me from its holster. Summertime had us doing a lot of biking, swimming in the municipal pool, tree climbing and playing at the neighborhood park with a teenaged park attendant leading games and had us doing artwork at the picnic tables… lots of healthy kids, not a lot of sitting around!
