Awesome camera work. Live in central Florida and love watching my hummingbirds, cardinals, doves, etc (17 varieties) everyday But have never seen their nests. Thank you for sharing.

YOU DID WODERFUL CAMERA SHOTS, IT’S RARE THAT YOU GET TO SEE A HUMMINGBIRD UP THAT CLOSE FOR THAT
LONG, WE GET THEM IN OUR BACK YARD IN NC . I PUT NECTAR FEEDERS OUT ON THE TREES & CAN SEE THEM
RIGHT FROM OUR KITCHEN WINDOW. THEY ARE PRECIOUS!

We have tiny Sunbirds herein Israel. They’re unrelated to America’s precious Hummingbirds but just as wondrous. We had a pair build a nest in the (macrame) bedroom’s ceiling lamp.
The nest itself was tiny and compact. When the eggs hatched and until the 3 babies left, the nest was immaculately cleaned and repaired. There was never a mess..(feathers, food or droppings) on our bed below. The father bird hovered around an a daily basis.
When they all flew off, I removed their tiny home and the various twigs and strings that remained and wished them a safe journey.
Happily, Mom and Dad returned a year later and had 2 babies. After that, they never came back. We miss them but will ever be grateful for the gift of wonder they gave us.
