How to Make Gas Stretch the Extra Mile When Prices Are High
Gas prices have skyrocketed, with the national average at a whopping $4.17 per gallon. At one California gas station, it’s a staggering $7.29 per gallon for premium fuel. But there are things you can do to make your car go further for less. Make sure your tires are properly inflated, and lighten your car’s load. AAA’s Doug Shupe says to fill up when you have a half-full tank. Waiting until you’re almost empty can lead to buying the most expensive gas because you don’t have a choice. What did you think? Slow down. If the limit is 75 drive 72. Boosted my MPG to over 30.
