How the Media Treats Rednecks – James Gregory

In this comedy routine, James Gregory discusses his theory that there is a conspiracy to make people from tornado country look ignorant on TV. He believes that news directors tell reporters to interview “dumbasses” in trailer parks after a tornado hits, and that they never seem to find anyone who has been to the dentist. He also discusses the fact that everything is destroyed in a tornado except for the produce signs, which make people from tornado country look illiterate, and jokes about the clothing and appearance of the people interviewed on TV. He talks about the overweight wife of the head of the household, who wears tight polyester pants and flip-flops because she believes her feet are her best feature, and who always wears a beeper that she often misses calls on because of her weight.
